The Association exists to promote internationally the knowledge, research and dissemination of information in the field of Electrical, Transport and Optical Properties of Inhomogeneous Media and associated research fields. See website

ETOPIMs provide a unique forum for experimentalists and theorists to meet together and advance their understanding of the electrical, transport and optical properties of inhomogeneous media.

At each ETOPIM, international specialists discuss progress in areas of topical interest, emerging research areas of international significance, and subjects of particular concern to the host country.
