Aquila Rithymna Beach Hotel, Rethymnon, Crete
The hotel lies on the longest sandy beach in Crete, offering views of the "Mt. Psiloritis" and "White Mountains" and down to the old town of Rethymno with its Venetian Fortress.
Swimming in the blue Aegean Sea is an alternative to the hotel's choice of pools. The famous huge exotic pool (with children's area) in the shape of little islands connected by small bridges help your dream of Paradise become reality.
The Aquilla Rithymna Beach has all the hallmarks of a beautiful Cretan village - from the church of St. John to an original olive oil press.
The Cretan village-style garden rooms and traditional main building are enveloped in vast gardens, alive with colour and dotted with mature trees that provide a welcome shade from the warm sun.
This grand hotel has one of the most extensive selections of accommodation types - from main building rooms, bungalows suites and villas to Royal Pavilions with private pools!
Incidentally, the beach is awarded the "Blue Flag" in compliance with the directives of the European programme: water quality; environmental management; safety, services and facilities; environmental education and information. And a special note: it is a nesting beach for the endangered Sea Turtle species Caretta caretta.
